Fall Woods Fantasy

I am, of course, inspired by autumn and the leaves changing all around me. However, there is more to it. I am intrigued by what I don’t see and imagine-maybe it is just a feeling of the mystery of nature . Enjoy the moment with me in this color  land of the mind. Poetisize if you are a poet.

The painting is a rectangle 24×18 inches. I started with Japanese Awagami sheets which I colored with light washes of fluid acrylics. After this layered dried, I went back to the studio and decided to add more color, I also gave it a coating of iridescent varnish. I put on more color and started to paste pieces of Angelina fiber and glass beads. I made a few half circles with  a brush.

I’m no poet, but your painting has the essence of sunshine filtering through a Fall forest conopy. It has a very peaceful feeling to me. It is lovely.
