Blue and Green Sea Fantasy

100_3932

Here is another 12×12 on canvas. I have again worked over a painting several times. After scraping layers and layers of paint, I gessoed the surface. After some more observation I decided to paint in blues and greens, my favorite colors. Later on I decided the surface needed some more texture and I proceeded to put scraps of mesh and other texture cloth. A while later, I was in the studio  and found some yarn. It was just the thing to glue on. Then I decided to put iridescent paint on the yarn and today, finally finished with circles using fluid acrylics in orange.

I have a fondness for the sea and thought the painting reminded me of floating objects in the water.
